A limited selection of large-format works that reposition certain segments of his research from the transgressive avant-gardes of the 1920s to late Modernism starting with Aleksandr Rod\u010denko, Barnett Newman, Blinky Palermo, Gerhard Richter, etc., activating connections, caesuras, anticipations and delays that can trigger misunderstanding, ambiguity and interpretative confusion in the subject. After a long period of \u2018pictorial analysis\u2019 or \u2018analytical<br \/>painting\u2019, the author, through simulation, enacts a \u2018traumatic modernity\u2019 that repositions the genres of painting as well as the paradigms of figuration, abstraction, simulation. A path that, while embracing the realm of the simulacrum, mixes and subverts copy with original, signifier and signified to<br \/>enter the world of \u201cfree appearances\u201d and the \u201cspectacle\u201d along a luminous flow where the opaque images of reality mingle with the transparent images of dreams.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-1bddc80 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"1bddc80\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-ad3c836\" data-id=\"ad3c836\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-88c3744 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"88c3744\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Paolo Toffolutti<\/strong> (Udine 1962 &#8211; lives in Udine)<\/p><p>With a predominantly conceptual language, Paolo Toffolutti approaches different media in his work, from painting to sculpture, from video to installation,<br \/>interweaving in them constant political-cultural references, quotations from art history and reinterpretations of everyday imagery.
