The great Canadian musician composed <b data-path-to-node=\"4\" data-index-in-node=\"287\">eight musical pieces based on Biblical Psalms<\/b>, entrusted to Venier, who\u201412 years after Wheeler\u2019s passing\u2014is now reviving them to mark the <b data-path-to-node=\"4\" data-index-in-node=\"425\">50th anniversary of the 1976 Friuli Earthquake<\/b>.<\/p><p data-path-to-node=\"5\">To honor this historic milestone, Maestro Venier has undertaken a major work of adaptation and revision of Wheeler\u2019s <i data-path-to-node=\"5\" data-index-in-node=\"117\">Oratorio<\/i>, allowing this extraordinary music to receive its <b data-path-to-node=\"5\" data-index-in-node=\"176\">world premiere<\/b>. He has assembled a prestigious ensemble of solo voices, exceptional jazz instrumentalists, and a prominent choir for an intense period of preparation, culminating in two performances in iconic locations of the region: the <b data-path-to-node=\"5\" data-index-in-node=\"414\">Duomo of Venzone<\/b> and <b data-path-to-node=\"5\" data-index-in-node=\"435\">Villa Manin in Passariano<\/b>.<\/p><p data-path-to-node=\"6\">This artistic endeavor has been significantly bolstered by the <b data-path-to-node=\"6\" data-index-in-node=\"63\">Royal Academy of Music in London<\/b> (home to Wheeler\u2019s complete archives), which provided essential expertise and materials. The support of the <b data-path-to-node=\"6\" data-index-in-node=\"204\">Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia (Civil Protection)<\/b> and the <b data-path-to-node=\"6\" data-index-in-node=\"274\">Association of Earthquake-Stricken Municipalities and Mayors of the Reconstruction<\/b>, along with numerous partners including the <b data-path-to-node=\"6\" data-index-in-node=\"401\">Ministry of Culture<\/b> and the <b data-path-to-node=\"6\" data-index-in-node=\"429\">Fondazione Friuli<\/b>, will allow this work to offer a powerful emotional tribute\u2014honoring the memory of the one thousand victims of the tragedy and celebrating the reconstruction that saw a new Friuli reborn fifty years ago.<\/p><h3 data-path-to-node=\"7\"><b data-path-to-node=\"7\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">The Ensemble<\/b><\/h3><p data-path-to-node=\"8\">An ensemble of the highest prestige will perform under the direction of <b data-path-to-node=\"8\" data-index-in-node=\"72\">Maestro Valter Sivilotti<\/b> (composer, pianist, and conductor of renowned classical, jazz, and pop projects).<\/p><ul data-path-to-node=\"9\"><li><p data-path-to-node=\"9,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"9,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Narrator:<\/b> Fabiano Fantini<\/p><\/li><li><p data-path-to-node=\"9,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"9,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Vocals:<\/b> The legendary <b data-path-to-node=\"9,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"22\">Norma Winstone<\/b> (a British icon of European jazz since the 1970s) alongside the sensitive singer-songwriter <b data-path-to-node=\"9,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"129\">Cristina Renzetti<\/b>.<\/p><\/li><li><p data-path-to-node=\"9,2,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"9,2,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Choir:<\/b> The <b data-path-to-node=\"9,2,0\" data-index-in-node=\"11\">Odhecaton<\/b> vocal ensemble, a reference point for choral music in Northern Italy.<\/p><\/li><li><p data-path-to-node=\"9,3,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"9,3,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Jazz Ensemble:<\/b><\/p><ul data-path-to-node=\"9,3,1\"><li><p data-path-to-node=\"9,3,1,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"9,3,1,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Daniele Richiedei:<\/b> Electric violin<\/p><\/li><li><p data-path-to-node=\"9,3,1,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"9,3,1,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Nick Smart &amp;
