The Frost Jazz Orchestra of the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music is one of the world’s leading jazz ensembles, renowned for its exceptional musicianship, inspiring performances, and commitment to original composition and arranging. Directed by John Daversa, the orchestra has collaborated with internationally acclaimed artists such as Terence Blanchard, Joe Lovano, Maria Schneider, Dave Liebman, and Gonzalo Rubalcaba.Winner of numerous DownBeat Student Music Awards and the Next Generation Jazz Festival, the ensemble has performed on prestigious stages worldwide, including the renowned Monterey Jazz Festival.
