Maria Antonietta

An eclectic singer-songwriter, she is one of the most beloved voices of Italian alternative. Discovered by Brunori, in her 10-year career she has released 4 records for more than 300 concerts. Five years after her previous work she is back with a new record, out now on Warner Music Italy. In recent years she has published a book for Rizzoli, hosted a series for Sky, toured extensively with a musical reading and participated in Sanremo as a guest.

Fifth name and fifth surprise anticipating the full program of the long-awaited “Concerts in the Park” of Villa Manin Estate 2023: on Friday, July 28 2023 (6:30 p.m.) Maria Antonietta, eclectic singer-songwriter and one of the most beloved voices in Italian alternative music, will present her new album “La Tigre Assenza.” Tickets on sale – at the symbolic price of 5 euros + dp – from today online at Ticketone.it, Ticketmaster.it and in all authorized points of sale.

To be released on May 26 and already on pre-order, 5 years after the artist’s previous work, “LA TIGRE ASSENZA” contains the three singles “Arrivederci” released in January, and “Per le ragazze come me” made with the collaboration of Laila Al Habash, Roman and Palestinian blood, already one of the great promises of the Italian scene, and “Viale Regine Margherita,” a song made with the collaboration of Francesco Bianconi of Baustelle. Inside the album 7 more unreleased tracks.

With this album Maria Antoinette embraces her ghosts, even if they are fierce. “My parents tore me apart, but now I’m back – whole – to shut them up – forever” – she recounts.

The title takes its cue from Cristina Campo’s poem of the same name, a poem about pain and memory. Absence chases, accompanies, but it is not sweet and consoling company; on the contrary, it is cumbersome and fierce like a tiger ready at any moment to attack us.

Maria Antonietta, born Letizia Cesarini, made her debut in 2012 with the album “Maria Antonietta,” produced by Brunori, followed by “Sassi” (2014) and “Deluderti” (2018), whose single of the same name entered Spotify’s Viral as the most listened-to track. A graduate in Art History, in recent years she has dedicated a series of readings to female creativity and her poets of the heart. As a writer in 2019 she published the book for Rizzoli Seven Unforgivable Girls. A Book of Hours. In 2020 she participated in the Sanremo Festival, as Levante’s guest on the duets night. In 2021 she hosted a Sky Original series titled Sacra bellezza – Stories of saints and relics about the world of sacred art.

Erpac FVG, in collaboration with Vigna PR, with “Concerts in the Park,” has created one of the most anticipated events of the summer in FVG, designed for fans of new, alternative, quality and sought-after music, both Italian and international, and to enliven and make people rediscover even the most naturalistic part of the historic custom residence and to offer opportunities for meeting and entertainment.
