Concert in the dark - Teho Teardo guitar, percussion, effects
Fifty minutes immersed in darkness, a walk from stillness, lying on the ground, not knowing who we will meet and what will happen. It will be our senses that move through the sound. The concert is based on a series of nocturnal environmental recordings, made in the forests on the border between Italy, Austria and Slovenia, combined with rhythmic patterns, noises, enigmas. A blanket or mat to lie on is required.

The event is part of the Musica in Villa festival conceived and promoted by the Progetto Integrato Cultura del Medio Friuli and now in its 25th edition.
Light and the absence of light. Light and its opposite. Light and darkness have always existed. Indeed, it is from the deep darkness of the universe that light begins. Light and darkness not only mark human and Nature’s time cycles (life/death, day/night, summer/winter) but are also related to the feelings and emotions we experience, to what is permissible and what is not, to joy and sorrow, to good and evil, to knowledge and ignorance.
After water and trees, light and darkness are the two elements, natural but terribly human, primordial, mystical and shamanic, from which the 2025 edition is inspired.
The 25th edition of the event, organised with the support of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, the Friuli Foundation and Banca360 Credito Cooperativo FVG, and in collaboration with the Associazione Musicale e Culturale Armonie APS, the CAST Circolo AStrofili Talmassons, the Ente Regionale per il Patrimonio Culturale del FVG – Servizio Catalogazione promotion, valorisation and development of the territory and Kulturno Umetniško Društvo Zvočni Izviri Nova Gorica, will start on 5 July in Villa Mangilli in Flumignano di Talmassons and will end on 13 September in the old cinema of Medana (Slovenian Collio), proposing a rich and valuable programme structured in 19 concerts + 1 masterclass
